What are honour crimes?
Honour crimes is when a person kills their family member as they brought shame to the family. In many instances, the family member has gone against a female member of the family. Honour crimes could be expressed as a last resort but other things could encourage it as well, like unwanted marriage, adultery or because the victim embarrassed their family. It is the extreme form of violence- to put your reputation over the life of someone you close.
